Day 14 (May 9) - Clinton, IA

The controversial torch relay apparently made it up the North Col of Everest. In less dramatic fashion, we made it to Iowa. Two observations: (1) 18-wheelers dominate the nations roads - even the 'country' ones; (2) states should consider stopping new road construction and instead repair existing ones - many are in a sad, sad state.

Carson- You don't know me, but I know your sweet sister from cycle class at the gym. She told me about your cross country adventure, so I've been following your trip. Amazing! What a great way to celebrate your 30th!!

May you always have the wind at your back and power in your legs--
