Day 3: Milford, Pennsylvania

In September 2007, Frommer's Budget Travel named Milford, Pennsylvania, second on its list of "Ten Coolest Small Towns in America." From what we can see through the rain and fog, it seems pretty nice.

Although a planned "short" day, it was a tough day. (Eric: "Thanks for nearly killing me on State Bike Route 9, New York!") Rains and 45 degrees throughout - along with lots of shivering. An italian lentil dinner was the critical factor in helping get through the day's ride. High in iron and carbohydrates!

This evening, we drive back up to Poughkeepsie to be on Vassar College radio.

If you guys go through Ohio think of me because that's where I'm from! Remember you're now in 'pop' territory and sometimes it might be good to add the word 'at' to geographical questions such as "where is that at?" Hope you have fun!!

Congrats again on your adventure - maybe it will inspire me to do something spectacular on my 30th... though I will probably just raise a glass and offer a toast to you instead! Please remember your sunscreen!! I'll check in again!

Eric, try not to get angry at inanimate objects.

Any chance your radio show will be available as an MP3 or archived?

Hi guys! What I am happy about today is that you made your post before the 3:00 hour instead of after 9pm, which means that you had a few hours off before getting back on the horse (you are in PA, right?) P.S. This sunburn from Saturday is killing me - don't forget the sunscreen!

Wow Milford! I used to drive through there a lot when I would drive from home (Maine) to grad school (Univ. of VA) on I-84. Very hilly there! i've subscribed to your blog. Have Fun!
